Welcome to 6th and 7th Grade ELA! I think this is going to be a great year and I hope you are just as excited as I am. As you have probably noticed, this website is under construction. All the time. It's how I roll.
I like to add pages, include book reviews, change things, update information and try new "stuff". There might be occasions when it seems like there are a lot of changes all the time and other times when the website seems like it is kind of the same as it has been for a while. So, don't worry either way. And if you have questions, please be sure to ask. Email is the fastest (in case you wondered). My email address is: [email protected].
New...and pretty important!

A Little Bit About Me...
There's no way I can tell you everything about me on a single, solitary webpage. I mean, even movies get to be 3-D these days, right? So we are all going to spend a lot of time getting to know one another in class. Until then, here are a few basic things I can tell you now:
1. I have two children; both are girls. One is 16 and is a Junior at Walled Lake Northern and the other is a Freshman at Northern Michigan University.
2. My dog is named Ridley. She's a beagle/golden retriever puppy (I mean, a four-year old dog is still a puppy, right???) and she is awesome. We like to refer to her as a Golden Beagle, so that she sounds fancy. She's crazy and funny and all of the silly things that make puppies wonderful, but she's also gentle and loving and seriously the most adorable thing ever. Ever.
3. Of all the things I could do with my free time, reading is probably the first thing I would choose. No, not even kidding.
4. I always have stacks of books that I want to read. Stacks. There are stacks all over my house and in my classroom. There are even books in my car, in case I ever have extra time when I am in there.
5. I love the Denver Broncos just slightly less than I love reading and that is still a whole awful lot.
Ok, so remember how I said there was no way to tell you everything? Geez, there is so much more. But what you probably need to know most is that I absolutely love teaching English Language Arts. Everyday I love arriving at CHS and I think it is the best place in the world to learn.
We Should Keep In Touch...(still under construction)
Sometimes there are last minute changes or reminders that I want to make sure you get. If you have a cell phone that gets text messages, and you want to join Remind, it is AWESOME! It is free to join (c'mon, how many things in your world are free???) and you can get text messages from me. Once in a while. And not in a weird way. Just follow the links that are provided below to get to the directions, but find your grade, first.
